Down Home Play Festival

The Rock Hill Community Theatre announces auditions for its annual Down Home Play Festival,  original plays by local and regional playwrights. Six one act plays will be directed by Winthrop  Theatre students under the supervision of Russell Luke. RHCT will be working in collaboration with Winthrop University’s Department of Theatre and Dance and the performances will take place in Johnson Theatre on campus. Performance dates are August 14-17, 2008.

We will be auditioning male and female actors ages 14 and up, and will need about 20 actors. Actors can have a prepared piece or there will be scenes provided to read from. Previous acting experience is not required.

Auditions dates and times are:

Sunday, July 13 at 5-7 pm  
Monday, July 14 at 7-9 pm  

No appointment necessary. Actors may come during any of the times listed. Callbacks will be announced if necessary. Auditions will take place in Room 103 of Johnson Hall (the Theatre Building) on the Winthrop University campus.
